Sumba Adventure Activity - Sumba, 10 - 15 Sep 2016

MEETING POINT:
Umbu Mehang Kunda airport at Waingapu, East Sumba, NTT.
Saturday, 10 September 2016 at 12:00 PM local time (WITA).



Day 1: Saturday, 10 September 2016 (East Sumba) L/D
WELCOME TO SUMBA
Arrive at Waingapu and continued with opening & welcome ceremony at Purukambera beach.
After lunch at Purukambera with local food. we continued to Walakiri beach using local transport (wooden bus) to see the sunset.
Stay overnight at Praiyawang village, Rende.




Day 2: Sunday, 11 September 2016 (East Sumba) B/L/D
Start very early in the morning going to Watuparunu beach and see beautiful sunrise.
continue to Mount Meja at Waingapu, explore Palindi Tana Bara waterfall and trekking to the summit stay overnight camp out in the outdoor.



Day 3: Monday, 13 September 2016 (Central Sumba) B/L/D
Wake up very early see the morning sunrise for the first time above waingapu city.
Packing and trekking back continued journey to Matayangu waterfall and explore Liang Bakul cave, the best thing in this day journey you can choose
a horse riding, *motor trail or mountain bike to the location.
Join with other participant At Tai Tena beach we will see pasola performance (attraction only).
Call the day off and heading back to stay overnight at Laitarung traditional village.

Day 4: Monday, 12 September 2016 (West Sumba) B/L/D
Experiencing Sumba traditional ceremony and enjoy the festive moments:
Early in the morning go to unique traditional Tarung village at the center of Waikabubak city.
Continue with joining the Adventure Festival Sumba art perfomance Summit :
- traditional horse race
- buffalo catch / fight
- merchant booth
- pajura (attraction only)
- local art performance from 4 regencies in Sumba
stay overnight at the hotel in Waitabula, and take a rest.



Day 5: Tuesday, 14 September 2016 (Southwest Sumba) B/L/D
The participants will be divided into 3 groups to explore Karoso beach, Waikuri lake, Ratenggaro village, Mandorak beach, and Bwanna beach.
End the day with farewell dinner at Waitabula.


Day 6: Wednesday, 15 September 2016 (Southwest Sumba) B
City tour and hunting souvenirs at Waitabula before go to Airport.
See you again on our next Adventure Festival.





What to bring:
  1. Dress is casual. Clothing should be light, preferably cotton with at least one long sleeved shirt and pants.
  2. Bathing suit, sandals and sneakers or walking boots, flash-light, lots of film, camera, replacement batteries, and spares.
  3. Bring one light sweater or jacket as it can get cool in the highlands. Also bring sun-screen, insect repellent, sunglasses, sunhat.
  4. Sleeping bag.
  5. Personal medicines.

It's an annual event for adventurous people who want to explore the wonder of Indonesia, especially East Indonesia through a series of activity such as trekking, diving, cycling, caving, horse riding, photo hunting, film making, culinary & cultural events.
